« on: January 30, 2020, 01:31:18 PM »
Kimmie found a basic alfredo sauce and I tweeck it a tab ;)

2 Tbs butter  (salted)
1/2 cup heavy cream
1  Lb raw shrimp
4  oz cream cheese
1  Tbs  garlic powder
1   tsp  dried basil
1   tsp salt
1   tsp black pepper
3/4 cup shaved parmesan

Melt butter, heavy cream and cream cheese stir till smooth then mix in salt, garlic powder, pepper and basil.  Should thicken a bit then add shrimp cook till done

Now as for spaghetti squash, I cut a large yellow one in half cook in micrwave (each half 8 mins) remove and add squash to the mix and eat

It really is good ;)      I'm still trying to get use to spaghetti squash (texture) but it's getting easier for me each dish I make

Lets face it,  being Italian we had spaghetti 3 to 4 times a week of some sort and the squash texture is kinda different so it's taking time for me to get use to it

You ever make zucchini noodles, zoodles?  I prefer them over the squash.

I think so, a lot like a noodle.  Also the taste isn't as dominating as spaghetti squash.  When we do the spaghetti squash we usually use marinara sauce.

Tommy, that looks so amazingly good!   I love Seafood Alfredo.   I'm not really suppose to have Parmesan, so I'll substitute a little Swiss & provolone instead to get that nutty flavor.

Same here. I just like the spiralized zucchini & yellow squash better.   The crank spiralizer we have works fairly well.  We've also been looking at getting either a motorized spiralizer or an attachment for the KitchenAid.

Olive garden has entrees that use zoodles, may have to give it a try.
